Thomas Richard Matkins Sr.

Thomas Richard Matkins Sr., 76, of Glen Burnie, passed away on September 28, 2024. He was born in Baltimore to the late Howard and Dena Matkins. He enjoyed watching football and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard “Micky”, Nicholas and Robert Matkins.

Thomas is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Barbara Lee Matkins; loving children, Thomas R. Matkins Jr. and his wife, Kelly, Lisa Marie Matkins-Freeman and her husband, Herb; cherished grandson, Thomas R. Matkins III and his wife, Irene; and his beloved great-grandson, Thomas R. Matkins IV. He will also be missed by his dear siblings, Louis Matkins, Laura Fowler and their families. 

 Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue SW (at Crain Hwy), Glen Burnie, on Friday, October 4th, from 10 AM – 11 AM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
