Thomas O'Neil Jr

Thomas Sterling O'Neil, Jr., 79, of Severn passed away on October 8, 2017.
"Butch" as was affectionately called was born on July 22, 1938 in Baltimore, MD to the late Thomas Sterling, Sr. and Rose Virginia (Perry) O'Neil. He married the love of his life Nellie Ann (Flippin) O'Neil and together they enjoyed 41 years of marriage before her passing in 2010. Butch was the owner of Reliant Heating and Air Conditioner. He enjoyed golf and at one time was a member of the Highland Hackers Golf Club. He created many memories with his purple school bus that the club used for golf trips. Butch was a loving and caring man who enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Freddie O'Neil.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas Sterling O'Neil, III (Jenny), Timothy O'Neil, and Steve Downing (Melanie); grandchildren, Sean O'Neil, Caroline Downing, and Drew Downing; brother, Pat O'Neil; and his sister, Sally Grogan; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
The family will receive visitors at the family owned Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave SW (at Crain Hwy) Glen Burnie on Wednesday, October 11 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 12, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Entombment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
