Thomas Joseph Torrence, Sr., 65, a resident of Linthicum, passed away at his home on April 11, 2012. He was born in Baltimore, MD on June 13, 1946 to the late Agnes & Robert Torrence, Sr. Tom served in the United States Army during Vietnam and received the National Defense Service Medal. He retired in 1995 after 28 years of service with the Baltimore City Police Department; he also worked at Harbor and Sinai Hospital in security. Tom enjoyed gardening, fishing, crabbing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Georgette; six children, Thomas Torrence, Jr. and wife Michele, Tammy Torrence and significant other Scott Smith, Jeanette Berkeridge and husband Eric, Theresa Torrence, Harry Rossbach and wife Julia, Christina Bryant and husband Samuel and Carolyn Carter; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with one on the way; and one sister, Delores Magalis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Torrence.
