On July 30, 2009, Thomas Albert Varholy, Sr. of Glen Burnie, formerly of Perry Hall. Beloved husband of 48 years to the late Joan Reimer Varholy; loving father of Michele Varholy-Charlsen and husband George, Thomas Albert Varholy, Jr. and wife Marianne; cherished grandfather of Stephen and Julia; loving companion of Roxanne Fouts, and her son James Fouts. Thomas was born in Baltimore, Maryland and attended Calvert Hall College High School. He enlisted in the United States Army, and served in the Korean War. He attended Community College of Baltimore County and University of Maryland where he received his Master's Degree in Business Management. Thomas worked for Martin Marietta, Carling-National Brewery, G. Heilman Brewery, and ATF (Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms). He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Church of the Crucifixion, Paschal Senior Center, and ATF. Some of his hobbies include baseball, football, cooking, bingo, playing cards, cruises, traveling to Charlestown; he was also very active in church and was an avid military reader.
