Timothy Eugene Jackson, 58, of Brooklyn Park, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home, on June 1, 2021, after a long struggle with many health issues. Tim was born in Frankfurt, Germany, to Donna, and the late, Donald Jackson. Tim started out life with a passion for woodworking that transpired to him earning many awards. He earned awards at almost every county fair in the State of Maryland, including the Maryland State Fair and was awarded numerous “best in show” pieces with his first award for his hand built chess table when he was in high school. Tim applied his skills and passion for woodworking into a career, starting at York Town Kitchens where he built and installed cabinetry. As his family grew, he changed jobs and began working for PJAX Freight Systems, where he was a dedicated employee for 28 years. Tim was a member of many woodworking guilds, including, the Howard County Woodworkers Guild, Capitol Area Wood Turners, Chesapeake Area Wood Turners and Baltimore Area Wood Turners. He always believed woodworking was a dying art and wanted to share his love and knowledge with as many people as he could. Tim also had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed weekends spent at the family camper in Chincoteague Island, VA as well as many days and nights on his different boats over the years. He enjoyed traveling to US landmarks and his passion for buffalo drew him out west to some of his favorite national parks including Custer State Park, Yellowstone National Park and the Badlands. Tim was extremely passionate about remembering his late father and honored the sacrifices he gave for his family and country by visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial every Memorial Day to get an etching of his name off of the wall. He also enjoyed cheering on the Orioles and Ravens.
Tim is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Lucinda R. Jackson; his cherished sons, Jeremy and Paul Jackson; his beloved granddaughter, Madalyn; his loving mother, Donna Jackson; and his dear twin brother, Jim and his wife Trina, and their children, Christopher Jackson and Jamie De Salvo and her husband, Dominic. Tim is also survived by his faithful companions, Ruby, Murphy, and Grumpy, as well as many other extended family & friends.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, on Sunday, June 6th, from 12 -1 PM with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1 PM. The visitation will continue after the service from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
