Timothy Vaughan

Timothy Lee Vaughan, was born June 14th 1949 to Raymond and Lois (Smith) Vaughan, the eldest son of 4 children, in Columbus, Ohio. Tim completed his elementary and high school education in Arlington, Texas in 1967, where his family had moved when he was 10.
Tim received an appointment to the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland in the fall of 1967. In 1968 due to his mother's sudden passing, Tim began searching for God's true way. God answered his cry and led him into fellowship, and Tim made a life commitment to walk with God. Tim graduated and received his commission in the US Navy on June 9th 1971. He was stationed on a resupply ship, the USS San Diego, for 3 years. First as the electronics officer, and later becoming the navigator. He then moved to the Naval Academy worked as an instructor teaching celestial navigation and advanced mathematics. After being settled that God wished for his life to be used in His work, Tim was honorably discharged on June 9th, 1976, and began in the ministry June 30th.
His states of labor in the ministry have been Virginia, New York, Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Georgia, Michigan, West Virginia, Ohio, Iowa, Missouri & Florida.
Tim passed away on August 9, 2015 in Towson, Maryland at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 26 days. Tim is survived by his brother David (Elaine) of Arlington, Texas, their children, Angela, Chris, & Steven, his brother Danny (Stephanie) of Allen, Texas, their children Brittney & Kayla, his sister-in-law Lynn Vaughan of Terrell, Texas and her daughter, Tori. He also is survived by 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother Lois in 1968 and his father Raymond in 2001, and his brother Chuck in 2011.
