ANTHONY "TONY" SARRO, JR., 75 and originally from South Baltimore passed away on May 17, 2013. Tony was born on August 13, 1937 in Baltimore. He graduated in 1955 from Southern High School where he was an Honorable Mention All American Lacrosse player. Tony retired after 40 years of service as a Sergeant from the Baltimore City Police Department and served as Vice President for the F.O. P. He was inducted into the Baltimore Boys of Summer Hall of Fame. Tony was also a semi-pro boxer and played lacrosse and football. He collected hats and 50's records and enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony "Tony" J. Sarro, Sr. and Ethel Sarro; and his step son, John Seaman. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nancy M. Sarro; his daughter, Angela M. Sarro; his brother, Stanley J. Sarro and his wife, Lynn; his nieces, Christina and Amy Sarro; his step son, David Poag and his wife, Brenda; his grandchildren, Candice, Deanna, Dustin, Chad and Chris; and his great-grandchildren, Trinity, Kyden and Malia.
