Virginia Collins

On Friday November 4, 2011, Virginia Harwood Collins, 87, of Severna Park, Maryland passed away at her home. Virginia was born on July 4, 1924 in West Virginia to Orlando and Julia Harwood. Mrs. Collins received a Master's Degree in education and taught Art in the Anne Arundel County School system for 30 years. She married John Sellers Collins in 1949. Mrs. Collins was a member of the Eternal Quilters Club and the Red Hat Society. Virginia loved playing Bridge, was a garden enthusiast, and was very creative, she loved birds and animals, most especially her two cats Sugar who was her lap cat and Fredie her feline companion. Her most precious days were spending time with her family.
Mrs. Collins is survived by her son Jack Collins of Severna Park and her daughter Martha Anderson of Arnold and her husband Paul; 2 grandsons, 1 great grandson and 1 great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother Bud, and 2 sisters, Angela and Lillian.
