Virginia Mae Crouse, 84, of Clarksville, Virginia, formerly of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on September 2, 1938, to the late Elva “Sally” and George Gourley. She worked for the Motor Vehicle Administration as a Division Chief. After retiring from the MVA, and moving to Virginia, she worked at Boulevard Flowers and Colonial Honda. Virginia enjoyed needlepoint, painting, yoga, walking, playing Scrabble and tending to her flowers.
Virginia was predeceased by her devoted husband of 69 years, Christopher E. Crouse, Jr. and her beloved daughter, Sherry M. Crouse. She is survived by her loving children, Christopher E. Crouse III and his wife, Geri Rue, and Linda M. Crouse; her cherished grandchildren, Kelly and Michael; and her adored great-grandchildren, Shelby, Cullen, and Clodagh.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Tuesday, June 27th, from 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, June 28th, at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Virginia’s name are requested to go to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (www.theaftd.org) or Lake Country SPCA in Clarksville, VA.
