Virginia Murphy

On Saturday, December 16, 2006, Virginia Rose Murphy passed away at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. Virginia was predeceased by her cherished husband of 62 years, Jeremiah Joseph Murphy. She is survived by her beloved children, Patricia Muir, James Murphy, and Barbara Murphy. Virginia is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Jay A. Muir and Lindsay M. Johnson and her great-grandson, Nathan A. Muir. She is also the dear sister of William Merril, Jr, Priscilla Kelly and Judith Williams.
Virginia earned her degree as a registered nurse from the Nursing School at Massachusetts General. She was a lieutenant in the United States Army during World War II serving our country as a nurse. Virginia worked at Harbor Hospital, the Baltimore Washington Medical Center as well as the New Deal Optical office. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing Yahtzee, and travelling with her husband.
