Virginia L. Ries

Virginia Lee Ries, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on April 5,2024, leaving a legacy of hard work and dedication. Virginia was born on October 8, 1935 to the late Thomas W. & Ceina G. McGoldrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ries in 1990. She dedicated much of her life to her career at The Hecht Company and Macy's department stores, finally retiring well into her 80's. Described as a hard worker by those who knew her well, Virginia poured her heart and soul into everything she did, both professionally and personally. Her proudest accomplishments were not only related to her career but also centered around being a devoted mother and grandmother to her family.

Virginia is survived by her three children, Christine Hayden (Thomas), James E. Reis (Kimberly) and Deborah Galvin (Richard); her six grandchildren, Jacquelyn King, Jeremy Galvin, Courtney Stolba, Alexandra Ries, Tyler Galvin and Sara Dunn; her three great-grandchildren, Van Galvin, Dominic Dunn and Vivian Stolba; and her brother, Thomas McGoldrick.

Virginia will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness. May she be remembered for the love she shared and the example she set for future generations.
