Virginia Mae Voit, 89, a resident of Glen Burnie, passed away on October 28, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 24, 1924 to the late J. Glenn and Ina Mae Rice. Virginia graduated from St. Agnes Nursing School and began her career as a registered nurse at St. Agnes Hospital, where she became head nurse on night shift. She belonged to the Toastmasters and Maryland Homemakers, where she served as past president and certified parliamentarian. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George W. Voit, Jr.; and four siblings, Jean Bradley, Archie Rice, Jimmy Rice and Tommy Rice. She is survived by her four children, Barbara C. Brady and husband Michael W. Brady, Sr., George W. Voit, III, William E. Voit and Paul R. Voit; four grandchildren, Kathleen A. Glosenger and husband Michael P. Glosenger, Michael W. Brady, Jr., Michelle L. Voit and Michael J. Voit; and two great-grandchildren, Deanna and Alex Voit.
