Walter Becker

On Tuesday, February 12, 2008 Walter C. Becker of Pasadena. Beloved husband of Grace (nee Schuman) Becker, devoted father of Nancy Cox and Lois Becker, caring grandfather of Susan Novak. He is survived by 4 great grandchildren. Mr. Becker was preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Estel Becker, as well as one brother Louis Becker.
Mr. Becker's passion in life was music, he composed music, instructed piano, played piano in a band playing "Big Band" music, he wrote a book entitled "The Mamwix", drew cartoons, played tennis well into the late age of 80, and was very adverse to the Civil War. Walter served his country in the United States Army, where he was a Sargent in the 37th Bomb Squadron, he attended Parachute Rigger School while in the Army, and was a member of the Bomber Group. Then continued with the Federal Government after his military service as a Parachute Rigger. Mr. Becker lived a very full life and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a dear man and will me missed by many.
