Walter Lambert Sr

On February 29, 2012, Walter George Lambert, Sr., husband of Edith F. Lambert (nee Kane), whom he married on February 18, 1950 at St. Martin's Parish where they lived the first five years of marriage; son of the late Mary G. and Walter G. Lambert. Loving father of Walter G. Lambert, Jr. and wife Jill, Mary E. Lambert and husband Raymond Welborn, and the late Judith L. Bartlett; cherished grandfather of Timothy K., Joseph T. and wife Allison and Eric V. Lambert and Caitlin E. Bartlett; father-in-law of Ronald D. Bartlett; brother to the late Charles F. Lambert and brother-in-law of Shirley G. Lambert.
He was a resident of Glen Burnie for 54 years before moving to Ocean Pines, MD in 2006. Walter was an active member and a daily communicant of Holy Trinity Church, a parish corporator for 20 years, a lecture, member of the Holy Name Society, Legion of Mary and president of the Parish Council. He served on the committee for the formation of Arthur Slade Regional School Home-School Association and also served as first president. He was employed by Baltimore Brick Company for 52 years, although it was owned and operated by several companies over the years; he was known as "The Brickman" over the Baltimore area. He was the past president of the Building Congress and Exchange and Home Builders Association; he retired in 2002. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Sparrows Point Country Club for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Mt. St. Joseph High School, 4403 Frederick Ave.; Baltimore, MD 21229.
