Walter Mears

On February 19, 2008, Walter Gordon 'Pops' Mears passed on. Pops was dearly loved by his devoted wife of 60 years, Mae K. Mears; his loving daughters, Valerie Schneider and Deborah Storm; his dear brother, George Mears; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pops was born in Ashville, Virginia in 1923. He lived in Glen Burnie, Maryland for 47 years. He was a member of the United States Army from 1943 to 1946. He was employed by Shoreline Seafood in Gambrills for many years. Pops was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed many hobbies in life including fishing, making clocks, woodworking and solving crossword puzzles. Pops was a dear man who will be missed by many.
