Wanda Lou Riley

December 31, 1946 — February 23, 2025

Wanda Lou Riley, 78, was called to join her Heavenly Father on February 23, 2025, in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Wanda was born on December 31, 1946, to Mary and William Spence in Fort Myers, Florida. She lived a life guided by faith and devotion. As a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness, she found comfort in reading her Bible and prayer, drawing strength from her unwavering belief in Jehovah.

For 62 years, Wanda shared her life with her beloved husband, Leon Riley Jr. Together they created a home filled with love and faith. Wanda's legacy is carried on by her children, Rebecca Nichols (Charles), Leon Riley III (Brandy), and Charles (Linwood) Riley. Her grandchildren, Emily Riley (Tom), Amanda White (Todd), Ashley Hoodjer (Steve), Matthew Riley (Jamie), Leon Pettersen (Krista), Andrew Riley, and Sarah Nichols. As well as many great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings and her beloved daughter, Mary Riley.

Wanda found joy in the beauty of Jehovah’s creation. She loved to sit in her swing and admire the flowers and garden that she planted. She admired the beauty of hummingbirds, butterflies, and pink roses. Wanda carried great strength and elegance, even in her weakest moments. She enjoyed music, the Yanni station specifically, on repeat. Wanda took great pride in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all, including her two beloved dogs, Blackie and Alex.

A memorial gathering will be held at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services on Saturday, March 1st, from 2 - 5 PM if you would like to join the family in celebrating Wanda’s wonderful life.
