On September 4, 2005, Warren Edward [Possum] Sears, 76, of Glen Burnie, Maryland died at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center from complications of Lung Disease. Possum was born on July 1, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland and lived in the community of Pigtown until he moved to Glen Burnie in 1944. He was a member of the Marley Volunteer Fire Department and later joined the Army. In May of 1952, he became an apprentice of Iron Workers Local 16. In April 1954, he became a Journeyman and retired in 1974. His hobbies were dancing, hunting, cooking, fishing, gardening, TV and sports. He is survived by his wife Mary Clare, his five children, Mary Kay Dale of Oakland, MD, Joan Mitchell of Baltimore Highlands, Patty Wise of Lansdowne, MD, Jerry Sears of Cordova, MD and Tommy Sears of Baltimore Highlands, MD. He is also survived by two daughter-in-laws, Donna Sears and Sandy Sears and three son-in-laws, Bill Dale, Butch Mitchell and Nelson Wise. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
