Weldon Poole Sr

August 7, 1922 — June 13, 2013

On June 13, 2013, Weldon "Pappy" Poole, Sr. passed away at the Anne Arundel Medical Center. Mr. Poole was born on August 7, 1922 in Baltimore, MD. He graduated Westminster High School in 1941. Pappy was owner and operator of Poole Trucking Co. and later worked as a driver and dispatcher for Shipley's Transfer. After retirement he continued to work at Budget/Avis Rental Car, BWI. He was a 23 year member of the Glen Burnie Elks #2266 and the Glen Burnie Moose. In his spare time he enjoyed dancing, eating out, having family cookouts, socializing with family and friends, fishing and crabbing. He will be missed by his family, of whom he loved. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home or donations may be made to the Ferndale United Methodist Church, 117 Ferndale Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
