Wilbur Hodges

Wilbur Leo Hodges, 81, a 10 year resident of Pasadena and previously of Severna Park, died on March 22, 2012 at Future Care Chesapeake. Wilbur was born in 1930 in the "Pigtown" area of Baltimore, Maryland. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. Wilbur was a self-employed man. He was the previous owner of Toyota City and Station Wagon City in Glen Burnie. Wilbur was a member of Fleet Reserve in Annapolis and the Glen Burnie American Legion, Post #40.He enjoyed going to the track with his friends, watching the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles, listening to Pavarotti music and liked tennis. Wilbur also enjoyed staying active in the car business and having dinner at Sabatino's Italian Restaurant. He was known as a great storyteller who had a big heart and loved his family. He will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Jim, Charles and Irvin Hodges; and a sister, Louise Stanton. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marlene Hodges; three children, Cheryl Harmon and husband Ed, Donna Gerhart and husband Ken, and Douglas Hodges and wife Tracy; sister, Ruth; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
