Willard Johnson

On March 7, 2016, Willard John Johnson, 81, passed away at the Hospice of the Chesapeake Inpatient Care Center. He was born in Wakefield, Michigan, on September 8, 1934, to the late Margaret and John Johnson. Willard served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and went on to work at Westinghouse for 41 years as an inspector. He was an active member of both Granite Baptist Church and the Pascal Senior Center. Willard was an avid tennis player, enjoyed playing pool, and loved music.
Willard was predeceased by his beloved son, Kurt W. Johnson, and three sisters. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Marian E. Johnson; his beloved children, Timothy Maxey, Leila Shaughnessy, and David Maxey Johnson; his ten cherished grandchildren; ten loving great-grandchildren; and his dear brother, Norman Johnson.
Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, on Friday, March 11th, from 3-5 and 7-9. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Willard's name may be made to Granite Baptist Church, 7823 Oakwood Rd. Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
