William Appling

William G. Appling, 85, of Linthicum, passed away on December 27, 2017. He was born on November 6, 1932 in Athens, Georgia to the late William and Evelyn Appling. He retired from the US Coast Guard as a Chief Engineman after 20 years of service. William was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dolores B. Harris Appling (nee Handschuh); his son, William "Donnie" Harris; and his brother, Stanley Appling

He is survived by his daughter, Donna M. Quintero and her husband, Dennis; his four loving grandchildren, Heath, Blake and Aubree Harris of Pasadena and Dalton M. Quintero of Brooklyn Park.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, January 3rd from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 4th at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel.
