William Bennett

On August 3, 2007, William Thomas Bennett of Linthicum passed on after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He is the beloved husband of Geraldine; loving father of David William Bennett and his wife Skye Marie, and Michele Bennett-Wescoat; cherished grandfather of Erik and Devin Wescoat; and dear brother of Earlene, Nancy, George, Jr., Donald, and Jeannie. He served in the Army National Guard, and received commendation on being a sharpshooter (rifle). William worked at General Motors for 34 years as an assembler; he retired in 1998. He belonged to the Local UAW 239. In his spare time, he greatly enjoyed watching his grandson's sports games, riding his bicycle, dining, attending museums, travelling, gardening, and being an all around "handyman". He will be greatly missed.
