William R. Bope, 80, of Glen Burnie; professional musician, photographer and tennis coach; died on December 23, 2016 in Louisa, Virginia. Bill was born on August 22, 1936 in Chicago, to the late Russell and Ruth Bope. He retired as a Sergeant Major from the US Army Field Band after 27 years of service, where he was the staff photographer and played bass clarinet in the concert band. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Margie E. Bope; his children, Karen Gray, Keith Bope and Kristie McCraney; his granddaughters, Chelsea Bope and Virginia Gray.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral service will be held at St. Albans Episcopal Church, 105 1st Ave SW, Glen Burnie, on Tuesday at 1 PM. Interment MD Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.
