William "Bill" Brooks, a long time resident of Glen Burnie passed away on April 16, 2012. He was born in Baltimore, MD on March 24, 1933 to the late William and Victoria Brooks. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956. Bill enjoyed sports, coaching baseball and basketball at North Glen and Linthicum Ferndale, photography, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and was an excellent lacrosse player in high school. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Gehring. Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rose; three children, William L. Brooks, Robert M. Brooks and wife Vicky and Beverly A. Brooks-Bartlett; three granddaughters, Victoria and Diana Bartlett and Sarah Brooks; and one brother, Louis Brooks and wife Rosalie.
