On April 12, 2013, WILLIAM F. FORSYTH, Sr. passed away at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. William was born on August 4, 1925 in Baltimore, MD to the late Emma and William H. Forsyth. He served his country proudly as Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. William served with the 146th Army Air Ways Communication System in the Pacific Theater of Operation. He was the chief radio-teletype operator on Atoll of Kwajalein and general supervisor handling all traffic that was routed over radio teletype circuits and the handling of all weather transmissions to the local agency. William went on to work for the U.S. Postal Service, fist as a mail carrier, then as a supervisor, and then retiring as a quality control officer. He was a member of the Masons and enjoyed reading, especially about WWII, and spending time with family.
William is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lois E. Forsyth; his loving son, Mark B. Forsyth; his cherished grandchildren, Jaime Forsyth, Joshua Forsyth, and Lauren Forsyth; and his loving great-grandson, Bradley Forsyth. William was preceded in death by his son, William F. Forsyth, Jr.
