William L. Fowler, known to his friends and loved ones as Bill, passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 81 in Millersville, MD.
Born on October 8, 1942, in Baltimore to the late Lloyd and Frances Fowler, Bill was a man of many talents and accomplishments. He made significant contributions during his tenure at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where he played a crucial role in the Apollo and Gemini Space programs. Later in his career, Bill found fulfillment working at the Tasty Baking Company with 20 years of service. Always with love for his community, Bill served as a Life Member of the Elks of Glen Burnie and a devoted parishoner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Bill had a great love for being on the water and enjoyed commercial crabbing as one of his cherished hobbies, along with hunting, fishing, and walking on the beach.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Melinda Fowler; his devoted daughter, Diane Martell and her husband Lon; his dear brother, Ronald Fowler and his wife, Denise; his nephew, Joseph Feibel, Jr.; his nieces, Katie Crawford, Katie Bennett and Erin Guy; his great-nephews, Joey Feibel III, Jay Crawford, Charlie Feibel and Andy Crawford; his great-niece, Scarlett Bennett; and his brother-in-law, Joseph Feibel, Sr. and his wife Susan.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, December 19th from 5-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 20th at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
