William Wayne McDonald

William Wayne McDonald passed away on June 29, 2023 at the age of 101. He was born February 6, 1922 in Baltimore, MD to William A. McDonald and Emma Rae Clayland and lived most of his life in that area. He attended school in Baltimore and graduated from the Baltimore Engineering Institute.

During World War II he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1942 and served three years in the service; most of that time was spent in North Africa and Italy.

Mr. McDonald worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation as a designer/draftsman for 33 years. He retired in 1984 and moved to Vero Beach, FL. In 2017 he returned to Maryland and resided at the Charlestown Community in Catonsville until his death.

He was an avid golfer and was a charter member of the Chartwell Golf and Country Club, Severna Park, MD for 22 years before moving to Florida. While in Florida he was a member of the Vista Royale Golf Club and the Dodger Pines Country Club. Mr.

McDonald was a mason and a lifetime member of Glen Burnie Lodge #213. He was also a 32nd degree mason of the Scottish Rite of Baltimore, MD.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Margaret S. McDonald, one cousin, three nieces and two nephews. He was preceded death by his parents.

A private inurnment will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Glen Burnie, MD.
