William Miller, Sr

On July 27, 2009, William Joseph Miller, Sr., a resident of Glen Burnie for 36 years. Beloved husband of 61 years to the late Anna M. Miller; loving father of Sharon A. Blevins, David C. Miller, Michael S. Miller, and the late William J. Miller, Jr.; cherished grandfather of Shannon, Lesley, Chris, Matt, Kayla, Emma, and Ellie; devoted great-grandfather of four. He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Matcuk. He served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946; he received Pacific Theater Ribbon (1 Star), American Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal, and Philippine Liberation Ribbon (1 Star). William worked for General Electric Co. over 40 years. He belonged to the American Legion and Pasadena Senior Center. He enjoyed exercising at the Cardiac Rehab Center, "his social life". Some of his other hobbies included woodcarving and fishing. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
