William Lester Pumphrey, a resident of Glen Burnie, passed away on September 4, 2016 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Bill was born on December 21, 1936, in Washington, D.C., to the late Alfred and Dorothy Pumphrey. He honorably served our country in the Air Force from 1955 to 1959. Bill enjoyed hobby trains, traveling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Ethel Mae Pumphrey; sons, James, Paul and Brian Sterling; grandchildren, Katie, Hunter, Jennifer, Angel, Sarah, Cooper, Conner and Parker; great- granddaughter, Ava; and his cousin, Bobby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Adam Sterling.
