William C. "Bill" Stoffel 79, of Severn, died Aug. 19 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in New York to Clayton and Doris Stoffel. He graduated in 1946 from Glen Burnie High School and joined the Air Force. In 1956 he married Nancy A. "Molnar" and worked at International Office Machines while also going to night school. He graduated from the University of Baltimore and received his Bachelors of Science Degree. He owned and operated Stoffel Typewriter Service for 25 years. He was a member of the Elks 2266, American Legion Post 26, the Glen Burnie Moose and VWF Post 234. Bill loved the outdoors. He loved fishing, crabbing, hunting, cooking, gardening, watching hummingbirds from his back porch and watching football games. He loved to be surrounded by his family and having crab feasts on the porch. He lived life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton W. and Doris Stoffel. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Nancy; his daughter, Linda and son-in-law Perry Slayton and his grandson Scott Slayton, his son, Karl and daughter-in-law Danita Stoffel and grandsons, Brent and Grant Stoffel; his brothers, Glynn and Bob Stoffel. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.
