William E. (Bill) Winchester, 94 of Glen Burnie passed away on February 26 after a brief illness. He was born on October 7, 1923 and was a lifelong of the Baltimore area. Mr. Winchester was a World War II veteran serving in the U S Army from 1943 to 1946. He served with the 831st Engineer Aviation Battalion in England, Germany, and Belgian. He was employed by The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company and a member of Warehouse Employees Local #570. Mr. Winchester was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Madge and is survived by his daughter, Janice L. Winchester.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, March 7th from 1-1:30 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 1:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
