Donald Murphy Jr

Donald William Murphy Jr., 69, passed away on Sunday March 5, 2017 in Chesapeake, Virginia. Donald was born on August 5, 1947 in New London, Connecticut to Donald Murphy Sr. and the late Anna Whitlock. He grew up in Baltimore, MD. Donald served honorably in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal. He is survived by his wife, Sue Murphy; four daughters, Linda Heath, Shannon Murphy, Molly Murphy and Heather Murphy; two grandsons, Tyler Markward and Bretten Reiser; four siblings, Bill Murphy, Rick Murphy, Marge Murphy and Karen Murphy; and his two faithful dogs, Oliver and Cooper. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Murphy and Raymond Murphy.
A Gathering will be held at Singleton Funeral Home on Saturday, March 11th from 1-2 PM with a Memorial Service immediately following at 2PM in the funeral home chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Ste. 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
