On December 23, 2008, Dorothy E. Sherman of Severn. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Roy Sherman; dear friend of Herman Engel; loving mother of Donna Lee Chaffman and her husband Stephen, and Janet L. Boliek and her husband Jerry; cherished grandmother of Stacy L. Murphy, Laura A. Singleton and Hannah M. Boliek; devoted great-grandmother of Ashley Murphy, Jamie Singleton, Taylor Murphy, Ryan Murphy and James Singleton; caring sister of Charles Taylor Hancock, and Richard Lee Hancock and his wife Betty. Dorothy was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1927. She graduated from Eastern High School in Baltimore City. She was employed by Eddie's Supermarket for over 20 years. Dorothy was a member of the Eastern Star. She had many hobbies including reading. She enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City and taking cruises. She had many friends.
