Gail Benelli

Gail M. Benelli, 80, of Millersville, passed away at Morningside House of Friendship on February 18, 2021. She was born in New York City to the late Joseph and Marie Piva. She worked as a secretary for Old Mill High School and was a devout member of Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church. A devoted homemaker, she enjoyed cake decorating, cooking, baking and spending time with her girlfriends in the Bunco group.

Gail is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Michael; beloved children, Eve Walsh and her husband, Thomas and Michael J. Benelli; cherished grandchildren, Danielle and Jordan Walsh; and loving siblings, Richard Piva and his wife, Susan and Deborah Timmons and her husband, Kevin.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 27th, 11 AM, at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue, Millersville, MD 21108. A gathering of friends and family will be held prior from 10 AM – 11 AM. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122 or by visiting www.hospicechesapeake.org. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the church is only allowing 100 people inside at one time and requiring masks for all visitors.
