Gerald Scott Adams, 53, of Severn, passed away on October 28, 2022. He was born in St. Mary’s County to Rose Elizabeth and the late Robert Stephan Adams. He was employed by KBR as a NASA Level A Instructor and was formerly employed at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab where he worked on space flight hardware for many space missions. He had a deep passion for anything space related and was very proud to work in that industry. His hobbies included writing, producing and engineering music, video production, graphic arts and photography. He enjoyed putting those hobbies to good use while working with his wife on many Miss USA and Miss Teen USA local pageants. He also loved to travel and recently returned from a trip to Niagara Falls, Canada. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jonathan Dale Adams, and his mother and father-in-law, Alice and Todd Leatherman.
Scott is survived by his devoted wife, Geneane Marie Adams; beloved son and step-daughter, Keegan Adams (Cassidy Bryant) and Loghan Wright (Oren); cherished granddaughter, Olive Wright; loving mother, Rose Elizabeth Adams; and dear brother, Kevin Adams (David Brooks). He will also be missed by his dear nephews, Ethan and Matthew Brooks; caring brother-in-law, Eric Leatherman (Francesca); loving niece, Harlow Leatherman; and many other loving in laws, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Heart Association.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S. W. (at Crain Hwy) on Sunday, November 6th, from 3 - 5 PM. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 5 PM in the funeral home chapel.
