Geraldine V. Kelley

Geraldine Victoria Kelley, 85, of Glen Burnie, passed away on January 18, 2022.  She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Genevieve and Jerome Della Noce.  Geraldine earned her teaching degree from Towson University and taught briefly before settling in as a homemaker. She carried her roots of teaching throughout her life – as a lecturer at Weight Watchers and later in life, a volunteer teaching adults how to read. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Christ the King (formerly Holy Trinity) Catholic Church for over 60 years.  She was also a member of Eternal Quilter, Smocking Arts Guild of America, Black Eyed Susans, and Sons of Italy.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, crafting, playing poker, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Geraldine was predeceased by her devoted husband of 48 years, Ronald W. Kelley, her son, Ron Kelley, and her sister, Fran Meo.  She is survived by her loving children, Kathy (Mike) Lobasso, Larry (Lori) Kelley, Laura Parry, and her daughter-in-law, Terry Kelley; her cherished grandchildren, Gina, Brooke, Caitlin, Kara, and Matthew; her beloved great-grandson, Lucas; and her dear siblings, Frank (Gloria), Dolly (Harvey), and Butch (Deanna).  Geraldine is also survived by many loved ones, including her dog, Bella.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S. W. (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, January 25t, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 26th, at 11 AM, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 7436 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.  Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Lung Association.
