Gloria Lee Clause Kirby

On Thursday, July 14, Gloria Clause Kirby passed away peacefully with family by her side.  Born at home in Glen Burnie, Maryland, in January 1929, to Albert and Gertrude Claus Sr., Gloria was the wife of the late Allen Walter Kirby, loving mother of Marsha Novak and her husband Melvin, Anne MacSorley and her husband Joseph, Steven Kirby and Patricia Gresham, the late Michael Kirby, and Gail Swecker and her husband Mark.

She was the beloved grandmother of David Novak, Allison Frank, Joanna Bibeault, Lauren MacSorley, Zackary Kirby, Calista Cruse, Sharece Kamps, Sheila Rosskopf, Joseph Golczynski, and the late Rebecca Horne.  She was great-grandmother to Max, Jack, Aiden, Chase, Sophia, Anna, Melody, Alayna, Courtney, Kyna, Elyssa, Michael, Isaiah, Zoie, Jax, Moriah Jo, Trinity and Delilah.

Gloria was predeceased by brothers, Albert Jr. and Wilbur Clause.  She is survived by a sister, Shirley Warfield of Virginia, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Gloria leaves friends among residents and staff of Assisted Living Well Compassionate Care of Millersville, Maryland.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S. W. (at Crain Hwy) on Sunday, July 24th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 25th, at 1 PM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
