Herb Haight

August 28, 1940 — March 18, 2017

Herbert Russell Haight passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 18, 2017 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. He was born on August 28, 1940 in Poughkeepsie, New York to the late Herbert S. and Alberta F. Haight. He is the loving husband of the late Shirley Haight; and loving father of Kelly Garst (James), David Haight (Patricia), Dianne Alexander (Daniel), step-son, Ronald Jackson and the late Travis Jackson; dear brother of William Haight (JoAnn) and Jon Haight (Nora). He is also survived by six beautiful grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Herb was an avid Orioles fan who also loved NASCAR, Ravens and Maryland basketball. He enjoyed going fishing on his boat and attending BINGO. He was a member of the American Legion, the Moose and the Eagles Club. Herb served in the Air Force for four years and enjoyed every minute of it. He lived his life to the fullest and was known as a ladies man. He treasured all the time he spent with family and friends. Herb will be missed by all.
