Irene Lipin

February 29, 1924 — January 8, 2016

On January 8, 2016, Irene H. Lipin, of Glen Burnie, passed away at the Hanover Hall Nursing Home in Hanover, PA. Mrs. Lipin was born on February 29, 1924, to Ernest and Irene Hein in Glen Burnie, MD. She worked as a Secretary for the Draft Board and the Census Bureau. Irene was a life long member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church and their Ladies Guild, also Past Guardian and Honor Queen of Job's Daughters Bethal #16. She was very active in the community and served as chairman of the Glen Burnie Carnival Banking Committee and Anne Arundel Co. College Advisory Committee.
Mrs. Lipin is survived by her children: Mary Wilcox, Nancy Crawford and her husband Charles, Jack Lipin and his wife Lisa, Lauri Lipin-Raleigh and her husband Kenneth; her grandchildren: Jeffrey Wilcox, Kimberly Wilcox-Gonzalez, Erin Lipin, Nicole Crawford, Edward Raleigh, Adam Lipin, Stephen Raleigh, and Kelly Ann Raleigh; her great grandchildren: Timothy and Benjamin Wilcox, and Daniel and Robyn Gonzalez.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband Alfred J. Lipin, and her son in law, Robert Wilcox.
The family request memorial contributions to be made to St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 105 1st Ave. SW, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 .
