James Wilber

On November 15, 2006, James "Jim" F. Wilber passed away at his home. Beloved father of Kathryn M. Wilber, Jim Wilber, Joe Wilber and Jack Wilber; Loving brother of Dave Wilber, Connie Martin, Jackie Wilber and JoAnne DeLong; Cherished grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 1. He is also survived by his former wife, Helen G. Wilber. Born in Denver, Colorado, Jim lived in Glen Burnie for 3 years and prior to that has lived in Greenbelt (Maryland), Florida and Buffalo (New York). Jim served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He traveled all throughout Europe playing in the military band. He attended college at the University of Illinois. Before retiring, Jim worked in carpentry for many years. Since a young age, Jim has been musically gifted. He played the piano, saxophone, clarinet and he could also sing. He enjoyed the opera, reading, crossword puzzles and keeping up with friends and current events on the Internet. He was also very active at the Senior Center where he lived. Jim was known for his great wit and love of life.
