Kathryn Marie Gerbig, 69, of Glen Burnie passed away at her residence on June 17, 2018.

Kathryn was born on December 6, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Willard Eugene Doty, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth (Raley) Doty. She was one of six children and enjoyed the benefits of growing up in a large family and sharing special bonds with her siblings. Kathryn graduated from St. Martins High School. She married Carroll J. Gerbig on November 22, 1980. Kathryn retired after many years from Reliable Churchill. She was a loving and generous person with a quick wit and a dry sense of humor. She was deeply devoted to her family. She enjoyed spending time with them and creating special memories with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises and visiting casinos.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Gregory Michael Cooper; her parents; siblings, Joseph Bonn Doty, II, Jerry Ann Glass, and Barbara Jean Abbott.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carroll J. Gerbig, daughter-in-law, Andrea Gurney; grandsons, Daniel Gurney, and Adam Gurney; also survived by Don Gurney; siblings, Willard Eugene Doty, Jr. and spouse Melanie, and Margaret E. Doty; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Saturday, June 23rd, from 1pm- 2pm. A Memorial service will immediately follow at 2 PM, in the funeral home chapel. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association 415 N.
