Leroy Pumphrey

LeRoy A. Pumphrey of Millersville passed away at the Baltimore-Washington Medical Center after a 3 year battle with lung cancer. He was the devoted husband to Shirley Pumphrey for 59 years; loving father to Keith and Karen Pumphrey, Sandy Flynn and Randy Pumphrey; caring brother to Vernon Pumphrey. He was also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Louise Pumphrey, one sister, Dorothy Vinje and one brother, Thomas Pumphrey.
LeRoy retired in 1988 after working for Local 37 as a heavy machine operating engineer. He enjoyed farming, working on machinery, gardening and most importantly...spending time with his family. He will be missed by many.
