Leo Kossa

June 30, 1938 — May 24, 2017

On May 24, 2017, LEO EDWARD KOSSA, of Glen Burnie, passed away at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Frances and Leo Kossa. Leo earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Loyola College in 1960, and went on to work as a software engineer at Westinghouse / Northrop Grumman for over 40 years. Leo enjoyed cheering on his children and grandchildren at their numerous sporting events, playing cards, crossword puzzles, and trivia games.
Leo was predeceased by his devoted wife of 49 years, Romaine S. Kossa. He is survived by his beloved children, Edward Kossa and his wife Linda, Christine DeStefano and her husband Robert, Jean Chaisson and her husband Paul, Thomas Kossa, and Timothy Kossa and his fiancé Vivian Elam and her son Davion Applewhite; and his cherished grandchildren, Michael, Colin, and Erica Kossa, Bobby and Andrew DeStefano, and Kelly, Tommy, Monica, and Johnny Chaisson.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday, May 31st a prayer service will be held at 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, June 1st, at 11 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 801 Stevenson Road, Severn, MD 21144. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Leo's name may be made to St. Bernadette Church.
