Lillian Guenter

Lillian S. Guenter, age 89, of Glen Burnie, MD, born August 27, 1922 in Baltimore, MD, died August 28, 2011 in Sharpsburg, MD. A 62-year resident of Harundale, Lillian was an avid reader, loved the beach and was a great cook and hostess. She was a volunteer for the Harundale Little League, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Camp Fire Girls. She, along with her husband, Richard (Jerry) helped establish the Glendale Elementary School PTA and as they had five children attending, she was a very active member for years. In her youth, she was an avid sportswoman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating on and around the Maryland and South Carolina waterways. She loved her family and all will miss her. She is predeceased by her beloved husband LTC Richard G. Guenter, Sr., daughter Gail L. Guenter, and parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Small. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and James Steel of Bloxom, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Judy Guenter of Brooklyn Park; son and daughter-in-law, Gus and Jean Guenter of Sharpsburg; and daughter and son-in-law, Claire and Paul Kwiatkowski of Westminster. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Rowan Job, Steven Guenter, Matthew Guenter, and Sarah, Amanda and Emma Kwiatkowski.
