Margaret Hobbs

January 26, 1941 — December 25, 2020

Margaret Mary “Peggy” Hobbs, 79, was born on January 26, 1941 and died on December 25, 2020.  She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Wade Hobbs, parents James and Evelyn Wadsworth, mother in-law Margaret Hobbs, and brother Thomas Carter II.  She is survived by her four children, Wade II, James (JC) and Susan Hobbs, and Scott and Mary Hobbs, daughter Leslie and Rob Pollock, and Katherine Carter.  She was lovingly known as Mam-mom by her five grandchildren, Austin, Rachel, Tyler, Brittany, Jamie, and four great-grandchildren.

Peggy retired early, after 29 years at AA County as an Accountant, to pursue her true passion as caregiver for her family.  She received a Certificate in Accounting while working full time and raising four children.  Before succumbing to dementia, she also loved to volunteer at local nursing homes and for the “Hope for All” non-profit agency, which provides clothes for the needy.  Peggy would clean and repair the clothes as a way of giving back to the community.

Peggy was a Mom to all and could make the most out of very little. She will be missed.
