Nell Morrison

On July 28, 2018, Nell Morrison, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away peacefully in the home of her daughter and granddaughter. She battled with lung disease much of her adult life and finally succumbed to cancer. Born in Kentucky, she spent her childhood and most of her teenage years there. During World War II, she came to Baltimore to work as a welder constructing ships for the war effort. After the war, she stayed in Maryland where she married and raised two children. She resided in Maryland for over 70 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Sr. and her siblings Stella, Rhoda, Delilah (IB), Susie, Max and Maxine. She is survived by her loving children Connie and Walter Jr.; daughter-in-law Candy; and much-loved grandchildren Jennifer and Walter III; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral Home at 1 2nd Ave S.W. (at Crain Highway) on Friday, August 3rd, from 11 am to 1 pm. A service will follow at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Glen Haven Cemetery.
