Nelson Gretsinger

April 25, 1927 — March 1, 2017

On March 1, 2017, Nelson G. Gretsinger, 89, of Pasadena, passed away at Hospice of the Chesapeake. He was born in Baltimore to the late Gustave and Ida Gretsinger. Nelson served in the United States Navy and was a long time member of the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge. He enjoyed yardwork and was an avid fan of the Orioles, Ravens and Terps. In his earlier years, he enjoyed racing pigeons. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Jane Gretsinger.
Nelson is survived by his sons, Nelson T. Gretsinger and his wife, Melinda, Thomas G. Gretsinger and his wife, Patricia; four grandchildren, Alexander and his fiancé, Challys Withers, Aaron, Christy, Stephanie and her husband, Christopher Kijak; great-grandson, Tyler Gustave Kijak; and two sisters, Betty Kriewald and Doris Fisher.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122.
