Noah Bunch

December 1, 1939 — June 27, 2018

SSG. Noah Lenwood Bunch, U.S Army, Ret. 78, of Glen Burnie, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family on June 27, 2018.

Noah was born in Windsor, NC to the late Johnny Bunch and Chanie B. (Heckstall) Bush. He was drafted into the Army in 1962 and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He made the Army his career, retired after 20 years, and became Housing Director for the Department of Defense at Ft. Meade. He met the love of his life Shirley Mae at age 19; when she came home and introduced him to her family, she knew he would be her lifetime partner. He was a member of Prince Hall Grand Lodge where he served as Past Master; he was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Post # 40. He was a jack-of-all-trades, enjoyed tinkering, and working in his yard. However, his greatest passion was his family. He enjoyed being with them, spending time and creating unique memories.

He was preceded in death by his father; his son, Craig Bunch; and his two siblings, Anna and Leroy Bunch.

He leaves to cherish precious memories, his beloved wife Shirley Mae Bunch; mother, Chanie B. Bush; children, Harold R. Skinner, Sr. (Yvette), Audrey A. Skinner, Ralph Bunch (Patricia), and Shirley A. Bunch; a host of loving grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; brothers, William H. and Thomas Bunch, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews; other relatives, and friends.
