Patricia Harlow

August 13, 1951 — November 5, 2006

Patricia J. Harlow (also known as "Pat" or "Trish" to her family and friends) of Portsmouth, Virginia, died at home on Sunday after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The daughter of Pete and Patsy Michaelangelo, Patricia was raised in the Portsmouth area until she married her beloved husband Richard Harlow in December of 1973. Trish was recognized by many for her deep passion of needle crafts. She made family heirlooms and items for friends over the past thirty years. Her interests also included baking and cooking which were mostly appreciated by her husband and children. As a stay-at-home wife and mother of two children, Trish supported Richard's Air Force and civilian careers, never complaining about the numerous relocations. In 1985, Trish and the family finally settled in Glen Burnie. She is survived by her husband Richard; son, James Harlow; daughter, Joanna Thomas; daughter-in-law Lisa Harlow; son-in-law, Brian Thomas and five grandchildren: Brittany, Brandon, Dominic, John and Benjamin. She is also survived by her sister, Joann Finch of Portsmouth, Virginia. She was predeceased by her parents and in-laws. In memory of Trish - and in lieu of flowers - please consider making a gift in support of cervical cancer research, education and patient care at the Johns Kopkins Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Service. Please make your tax deductible contribution made payable to 'Johns Hopkins University' and in the memo section of the check please include "in memory of Patricia Harlow". Thank you for your kindness!!!
