On Monday, May 18th, 2015, Mr. Richard S. Borkoski, Sr., passed away at Bebee Health Care in Lewes, DE. Mr. Borkoski was born in Baltimore, MD on April 10, 1952 to Mr. Joseph and Antoinette Borkoski. He honorably served our country in the Army from 1970 -71 and later by working at N.S.A. Rick belonged to Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge #213, Tall Cedars of Annapolis #126, Scottish Rite of Baltimore, Royal Arch Chapter #1, and American Legion Post #28 in Millsboro, De. He enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, collecting trains, volunteering at Masonic Organizations, took pride in his garden and yard, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Rick is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sophie Borkoski (nee Jacobs). He is also survived by his children, Richard S. Borkoski, Jr. and his wife Rachel, Adam C. Borkoski and his fiancé Shy, and Heather N. Simmons and her husband Daniel; his 10 grandchildren; his mother, Antoinette Borkoski; his sisters, Toni Dickerson and Cindy Miller; and his brother, Ronald Borkoski.
The family has requested live plants (small shrubs or trees) for Rick's Garden, in lieu of flowers. Donations can also be made to Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge #213, 11 Crain Hwy South, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
